Commercial Yachting <500GT
The Antwerp Maritime Academy offers a training programme in Commercial Yachting. This training is aimed at the crew of pleasure craft used for commercial activities, with a gross tonnage lower than 500.
Scope
The Commercial Yachting course has been designed to meet the requirements of the STCW Convention 1978, as amended, Table A-II/1 and A-II/2.
Training Programs
- Officer of the watch up to 200 nautical miles out of any coast
- Master up to 200 nautical miles out of any coast
- Officer of the watch unlimited
- Master unlimited
Prerequisites
- Belgian Yachtman (YM) – new version with practical tests “M” or “MS" (“MS” if CY on ‘sailing yacht’)
- Belgian Yachtnavigator (YN) – new version (Because YM “MS” is prerequisite to YN)
- RYA Yachtmaster Offshore versions “M” or “MS” (“MS” if CY on ‘sailing yacht’)
- RYA Yachtmaster Ocean) (“MS” if CY on ‘sailing yacht’)
- Belgian CY 200 GT old version based on STCW A-VII (Some exemptions in new CY 500 GT training path if evidence STCW based)
- European Union CY 200 GT (Some exemptions in new CY 500 GT training path if evidence STCW based)
