On 5 and 8 November our second year’s students visited the Maritime Rescue and Coordination Centre (MRCC) in Ostend.

An important field study was concluded on 26, 27 and 28 September 2018.
On 2 October, the HZS took part in the international exercise "Guardex 18" during which a Search and Rescue operation was set out by the Maritime Rescue and Coordination Center (MRCC) Ostend under the leadership of captain Gyssens. Students from the HZS took on the role of victim.
Fantastic performance of the HZS Solar Boat Team in the Solar Energy Boat Challenge in Monaco. Our team took the second place in the final rankings!

On 22 June the Antwerp Maritime Academy Corrosion Team (AMACORT) was present at the members' day of the Flanders Marine Institute (VLIZ) in Ostend.
